Heat drop tough game to hard working Bucks

The Miami Heat came into Sunday's game flying high following three straight big wins at home. However, they didn't play like a team that had just beaten three division winners, they played like a team that was on the second night of a back-to-back and playing their 3^rd game in 4 nights. The Heat looked tired and slow and were unable to get their ‘bread and butter' going, with just 12 fast break points.

It's amazing how different 28-points from LeBron James can look in a loss as opposed to a win. He had his moments, but none of them came in crunch time as nobody in a Floridians uniform stepped up when it counted. Chris Bosh converted the few attempts he had in the 4^th quarter, but his 23 points and 6 rebounds weren't enough to add up to a Heat victory.

Miami wasn't making it easy on themselves either, looking ragged on many offensive possessions and not having that spring in their step to look sharp on offense. That much is evident by the amount of assists for the Heat, or lack there of. Miami only dished out 9 total assists, tying a NBA-low for this season.

The Heat were still in the game down the stretch, and made it a one possession game when a pair of Chris Bosh free throws trimmed the Bucks lead to 83-80 with just over two minutes left. That would be the closest Miami would get for the rest of the game, unable to get stops or generate points in the final minutes. Milwaukee has now won consecutive road games for the first time since December 2010.

GAME NOTES

• For the first time this season, the Heat trailed at home after 3 quarters.
• LeBron James picked up his 6^th double double of the season, finishing with 28 points and 13 rebounds.
• Miami's 9 assists are a new season-low. Their previous low was 16, in a loss at Golden State.
• Mario Chalmers chipped in 12 points, his 7^th straight game with double figure scoring.
• Milwaukee's bench grossly outscored Miami's bench, to the tune of 39-11.
• Nobody on the Heat bench had more then 4 points or 4 rebounds.
• Miami also turned the ball over 22 times, which led to 22 Bucks points.

The Heat will now get a day off before continuing their homestand on Tuesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tipoff from the AAA will be at 7:30pm.
