What about Mike Miller?

Mike Miller began his season with the Miami Heat on a low note. At the beginning of the season he was noticeably absent while battling a thumb injury. At first it seemed like he was taking a while to come into his own as a member ofthe Heat, but once the 2010-2011 playoffs came around it almost seemed like he was part of the big three, or Heatles. Although he only averaged about 5.6 points a game throughout the regular season he was a huge part of Miami's playoff success.

I guess the real question is Mike Miller underrated? By looking at it stat wise you could say he's not. Miller began his career in 2000 with the Orlando Magic and won the Rookie of the Year award, but since then has been traded allaround the league. From Orlando, to Memphis, to the Timberwolves, Miller has found a place in South Beach. Although it seems as if Miller did play a huge role in the Heat squad, this was his worst season ever stat wise. Last year with the Wizards Miller had about 11.6 points a game. That has gone down about half way, it could be a case that he's not getting enough playing time with the Heat or his injuries have dragged him down, but if this continues will Miller be able to keep his spot in Miami or will he be traded once again? It seems at this moment in time, Miller has a spot on the team as their resident three point shooter. But how long before a young gun swoops in and takes it?

He's here to stay,

I doubt he will be traded, or have his spot taken by a young player, because we have no draft picks to acquire young talent. He’s not underrated because he’s not supposed to ever be talked about, if you know what I mean.

Yeah he's too tough to trade,

nobody wants to pick up his contract.

Agreed, I hope he can get healthy and stay healthy for the most part...

he had hit that outside shot before last year but his hands were messed up big time—when healthy he played decent D for the most part and rebounded well, he needs to hit those shots though.

We should hold judgement until next offseason...

give him a full year of good health with this team. I mean, in theory, he is a perfect fit on the wing next to Wade and Lebron if he is healthy
