Heat are being cheated?
It get's pretty annoying... The Heat players were not appreciated by the voters, in (for now) 3 categories.
1. Pat Riley, NBA's Executive of the Year
First news, was: "Pat Riley is announced Executive of the Year". In last couple of days we heard that he's co-Executive of the Year. His buddy from first place is ,who would thought, Chicago Bulls' Gar Forman. I mean, for real?
Forman tried last summer to get each of Heat's Big Three. Instead, he signed Carlos Boozer (LOL). Pat has signed all three. Except, Bulls regular season results have been already appreciated, by giving Tom Thibodeau the Coach of the Year award. Is it fair?
2. Dwyane Wade, All-Defensive Team
Did you watch Heat this season? I guess people who voted for Defensive Teams didn't. In his place, there was Kobe Bryant. Please.
Kobe? What has he done this season? It looks like he got there, only becouse of his past. And this is unfair.
Remeber Heat-Lakers game December 25? Then you must remember D-Wade's INCREDIBLE job at the defensive end of the floor. He has stopped Kobe from being himself. 5 months later, Kobe got to All-Defensive Team. Ironic.
D-Wade collected 13 votes. And, the third was also...
3.Dwyane Wade, All-NBA Team
Again D-Wade. The first, really big mistake was not considering him in the MVP Race. But, again, Kobe took Flash's place in first five. If you think, that two players from the same team shouldn't be in the first five in any award, then look at the Defensive Teams. Garnett and Rondo in first five. You got to be kidding me.
Wade found his spot in 2nd Team with 392 points and only 24 first five votes. Did these people really watched NBA last season? Or maybe just watched recaps on nba.com...
Bonus. LeBron James, MVP
I'm not crying about it, but 5 voters haven't put LBJ in any of first 5 places. In any criterion, James should be at least in first five, but instead, one of the voters gave a chance to Blake Griffin. Ok, no questions.
If you feel the same what I do, write a comment.
We shouldn't care about individual award, but what if we're going to be cheated in NBA Finals?

for point number 1
i really dont see why its considered so out of left field for the bulls executives to be co executive of the year. i posted this is in another fanpost on PIM but ill block quote it for you to read
right pat riley orchestrated every thing that took place
dwayne wades friendship with lebron and bosh had NOTHING to do with the big three showing up in miami. The bulls got a low a post scorer, something they have lacked since the days of elton brand, they got the coach they needed, they set that coach up with the right type of players, and that system and set of players did well surrounding rose and helped cultivate one of the deepest teams in the nba and a team that got the best record in the nba. If anything, the fact that they missed out on their top 3 targets and still ended up coming up roses is more an indictment of how well the organization did.
Whats even more interesting is that in the voting process, both gar foreman and riles got 11 first place votes from their peers, however, john paxson, the other head of the bulls organization, got 3 first place votes himself. So the bulls organization got a total of 14 first place votes…..
The heat, the nets, the knicks, all of these teams, despite the moves they made to get superstars, are still a few moves away from perfecting their team, moves will have to be made sooner or later. The bulls have set themselves up where the players can continue to grow together and the depth can evolve and the draft picks (bobcats pick) that we have can help us get whatever piece we may need later down the line.
Thats some executive of the year type moves there….if you consider that getting the big 3 is worthy of an executive of the year type title, than shouldnt it go to Dwayne wade?
the bulls went from barely making the 8th seed to being the number one team overall in the nba in one season. Partially because rose went from barely all-star to barely mvp, but also as a team its incredible the metamorphisis then went down. Chicago didnt really add more talented players in the last season, but they went out and got the right players to fit the right coaches system, take a look at ur miami heat roster from top to bottom, theres pieces that dont belong, or dont matter. The bulls are easily 10 man deep. Thats insane.
I agree with point number 2, wade has been terrific on the defensive end this year, and wade and lebron are the main cogs (i think) in the heats defense.
For point number 3, i think wade started off really really bad this regular season. It wasnt until the very end where he started to really find his niche alongside lebron, its part of why miami had trouble in the regular season.
For the mvp point, its hard to figure out who is more valuable between lebron or wade, and i think thats mainly where votes are lost. Take the more recent boston game for example, what got the heat the win? Was it wades terrific all around game in the first 3 quarters, or lebrons amazing finish in the 4th? Hard to say, and thats exactly why they knew from the start of the season that the mvp would be hard for them to obtain this season. THe media often percieves lebron to be the clear alpha dog on this team (or the league) which is why more people gave him those mvp votes, but essentially its impossible to give either the mvp cuz no one knows whos the mvp of the heat let alone the league.
Finally i dont see how any of this has any correlation with beaing cheated out of the playoffs or finals, its all individualistic awards that mean nothing to a team
I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!
ah i forgot to preview to make sure the bq happened right
basically the 4 paragraphs under whats block quoted should also have been block quoted. My new thoughts start at:

sorry for the formatting

I've meant to say
that this little cheating may increase to something bigger (Finals), an we may not even see it
but I respect your point of view
Won't be cheated a title.
The only thing better than an Anderson is a Granderson.
Wagoning since the day I was born.
Wade should be 1st team all defense!
I was pissed when I didn’t see his name in it.
Kobe all defense?
That’s some mad bullshit!
.Heat Tri-nasty is inevitable!
Dont forget of Tony Allen and Shane Battier...
D Wade is good, but had a lot of bad d-fence-sive plays
There is nothing you can do...
Kobe will (for the next few years) continue to get accolades for his past. Even the LA Times said Kobe didn’t earn to make the defensive team…
In Pat we Trust

Im Pissed that Wade is all of a sudden forgotten
He should have easily made All-Def and All-NBA. Other than that I thought it was fair that they gave the Bulls Exec the award as well. A wise man once said:
“A Good GM will get you to the playoffs, a Good Coach will win you the Title.”
The Bulls had the best record in the NBA so they’re Exec definitely deserved some recognition. I cant say that Pat Riley didn’t deserve it either. Its a tough decision.
