James Jones to participate in 3-Point Contest

NBA 3PT Contestants

Miami sharpshooter James Jones will battle a couple of rivals in Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. Former Heat swingman Dorell Wright will be competing as well. Rounding out the shooters are Daniel Gibson and the leagues leading scorer Kevin Durant. Durant comes off as the biggest surprise to me; he is the only one shooting under 40% from 3-point range (35%).

I know what most of us are thinking....seeing James Jones beat out two Celtics would be beyond satisfying. All i got to say is JAMES JONES JAMES JONES!!!

I hope Jones reps well

Even if Jones doesn’t win, I just hope that little baby Pierce comes in last.

Rick Ross is an intriguing NFL prospect because of his combination of speed and size. He projects as a Nose Tackle in the 3-4. His upside is the reason the Panthers will select Ross #1 overall in the 2011 NFL Draft.

The Heat own this contest

Since the Heat came into the league, only the Bulls have had more players win the three point shootout (but that was all during their glory years).

Durant being "selected" is a joke
  1. in the league is Bonner, at .496

That’s a full 15% above KD!

Trust me, no one really cares about Bonner

but a whole ton of people care about KD and will no doubt cheer for him (increased ratings)

Spurs fans and new Englanders do

But that’s not the point.

It’s ridiculous to not include the #1 shooter in the league, that just happens to be on the #1 team.

Period

You are right about Bonner though.

He should be in, but the NBA just doesn’t care at all.
