Melo is pissed..Gunning for MIA

LINK

What i dont understand is why everyone is so jealous?  Can we just escape the headlines for a little bit?  Im pumped for this season but when i see things like this, its just enough already...They will never have the hype and excitement that we had, and their prize it ultimately less value than ours, but if its true is it Knicks Miami rivalry again?  i miss those days but im ready for the fight again!!!  bring it on!!

Carmelo knows that the new CBA agreement means he won't get nearly the same amount per year by turning down this extension...

Only reason someone would make a sacrifice like that for millions is a chance to win with another team (i.e. Triami Heat)

Can’t wait for CP3 + Melo + Amare battling against Wade + LeBron + Bosh

Mmmmmmmmmmm

I don’t see it….

’Melo will stay with the Nuggets I presume – they will do all they can to keep him.
The rumours of Paul and Melo with Amare in NY are just that – the new CBA will likely have a far greater influence on what happens than what these guys wish for.

I'm saying he bolts for NY

I’m a Blazers fan so I’d welcome ‘Melo leaving the Nuggets. The rumors I’ve heard is he’s basically told management he’s going to enter free agency. CP3 seems more of a toss up. As much as I’d love for him to come to Portland it won’t happen. I’d expect the Knicks just to sign Tony Parker instead of waiting till 2013 for Chris Paul to hit the market.

Everybody is gunning for Miami because it looks like you guys are just wanting to “buy a championship”. Which is excatly favorable to others. Personally, I don’t care about you guys (don’t mean it as an insult). Way I look at it I want Portland to win it all and don’t care what team we have to go through to get it.

With that said good luck this year. I’m not a fan of LeBron to any degree, but do like Bosh & Wade. Also, enjoy Juwan Howard!

It is only regarded as “buying a championship” because the Heat retooled so much this offseason. It is fair to say that every team “buys” a championship – they may just do it over a few years but they still have to “buy” the pieces initially…

The Heat still have to earn the championship – teams like the Celts, Lakers and Magic are still legitimate threats. Doesn’t matter what transpires during the offseason – with 7game series the best team wins each year.l).

also

we are under the cap save for the vet minimums… we are spending less than LA and Boston I believe, because they have gone over the cap with Bird Rights contracts and Exceptions..

If a lot of All-Stars start coming to Miami, then might as well rename our team the FLORIDA YANKEES, coz that’s what our team will be if a lot of superstars flock to join the Heat.

Look at the Bankees, a lot of high profile players left their teams to win World Series titles with the Bankees coz New York BUYS championships by paying fat contracts to losing superstars.

Do we want that to happen to our Heat?

HELL NO!!!!

by Rasetsu on Aug 6, 2010 8:01 AM EDT up reply actions

Why don’t you OVERLY CRITICIZE THE FAKERS coz a lot of fading All-Stars left their teams to win at least 1 championship with LA before retiring!

2001-2004, LA was loaded with significant contributors, former All-Stars in their heyday! The worst was the 2004 incarnation with the starting 5 going like this:
C- O’Neal
PF – Malone
SF – Fox
SG – Bryant
PG – Payton

Luckily they got floored by DEEEEETRRRROOOOOOIIIIIIITTTTTTTTT BASKETBAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

Oh Yeah, lest I remember, your Blazers got ripped by the Fakers many times during those title runs, the worst was when a deciding game, I think during the 2002 title run. Blazers up by 15 points in the 4th quarter, less than 90 secs left. BY A MIRACLE, FAKERS BEAT YOU, or should I say, STOLE THAT GAME THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE WON!!!

Blazers winning it this year?
Get real! Unless Greg Oden becomes superhuman healthy and becomes a combo of Bill Russell, Shaquille O’Neal, and Lew Alcindor, FORGET IT!

I never said Portland would win it all

I simply said, “Way I look at it I want Portland to win it all.” Aslong as Greg stays healthy for us we’ll be fine.

If Melo wants to join our Heat, whom will the Nuggets want in return?
LeBron?
Dwyane?
Maybe trade Chris Bosh to Denver for Carmelo?
But Melo sucks at playing defense! He hasn’t even thrived that well in the Mile High City!

This is totally pointless!

I’d rather see him go to New York and revive the Miami – New York rivalry!

Would be great to see an Amare-Carmelo-Chris Paul triad in Gotham City against our Big 3!

We don’t need him – no way I would give up Bosh for ’Melo. Bosh is being underrated in his importance to the Heat…

Bosh in an underrated and very important part of the big 3. Carmelo is a great player but I wouldn’t give any of the big 3 for him. Lebron and Wade are better at pretty much everything, and Bosh while he may not be as talented overall is vital to us. LBJ/Wade/Bosh > LBJ/Wade/Melo.

I see it as too much of a good thing, what does Melo bring to the table that we don’t already have in Lebron and Wade. Bosh while obviously not as talented, fits around Lebron and Wade a lot better in my opinion.
