The King’s Mental Note

Once again LeBron James came out with another controversial statement. "Don’t think for one min that I haven’t been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone!"

LeBron has been truly messing with his image over the past few months. Being a LeBron fan, I truly believe that he needs to get his act together. "The Decision" was obviously a horrible way to announce his team choice, but this tweet was actually not so bad. I’m sure he took many hits for this tweet, but it shows passion and determination. If I was the Miami Heat management, I would be excited about this. LeBron is determined to prove his doubters wrong and is ready to bring another championship to Miami.

Just think, a few months ago everybody was on LeBron’s case because it seemed as if he had given up in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Now they are giving him heat for speaking out on Twitter and showing some passion. LeBron is one of those players who just can win with the public. People say he needs to win a championship so he goes to Miami to do exactly that and he gets crap. People say that he needs to show more passion and killer instinct so he does and once again he gets crap.

This is something that LeBron has to deal with, especially if he wants to do one-hour shows and have all the attention but I am excited to see him prove himself. I am excited for him get revenge on those that took shots at him and to see how he works with Dwayne Wade to finally put rings on his fingers. LeBron James…make it happen!

This is just an opinion…so please Pardon My Bias.

It is about how he conducted himself

It was downright shameful. Yeah, the Heat benefitted bigtime from the whole thing, but it was ultimately a classless move handled in a shameful way.

Hahahahaha. Please

he got exactly what he wanted. Maximum press and attention. There isn’t a single person who has a tv that hasn’t heard of Lebron now.

I think...

…Lebron was a little surprised by the reaction “The Decision” caused. He shouldn’t have been, but he was stunned by it. All three of the Kings were rocked by the level of hatred their teaming up has bred (exhibit A: Wade’s WTC comments.) The Heat’s biggest enemy may prove to be themselves and not any on-court opponent. Even UD is cracking and we haven’t even started the season. They need to get their collective heads right. Winning an NBA title is the most difficult thing in all of sports. Time to get focused.

Just by using the phrase "three Kings"

It (understandably) fuels the backlash.

Nothing the three FA’s has done warrants a nickname of King – except perhaps Wade with that alltime record for fta’s in a Finals…

Pretty sure that free throw attempts in in one series isn't worthy of a "king" nickname

And seems like people are pretty quick to forget how much of a selfish, playing for stats, LOSER bosh has been over the past 7 years. The guy is the absolute furthest thing from a “proven winner” and y’all need to recognize.

Let’s be honest, Heat fans….. how many of you didn’t think Bosh was a piece of sh!t 6 months ago? Cause they are very few who could own up and honestly say “I didnt”. Let’s not take homerism to the point ridiculous ignorance

bosh is a good player

eOk i got one for you Julie, how many peoplw thought Gasol was a great player before the lakers got him for free. he didnt lead his team any where. I know bosh is a good player but by no means was i scared of him when the heat played the raptors. He will do just fine down here. And for Wade having all those fta thats what happens when you drive to the basket the whole game. Maybe he should turn into steve francis and just chuck up three so he wont get fouled. I admit there where 2 ghost fouls, but the one where dirk jumps out of the way d harris is holding wade’s arm as he went right past him

"2 ghost fouls"...

22 is closer to the truth…

Gave 5, 1-pt OT “win”, Wade 25 fts, Mavs 24, Heat 49…

I was at game 5 of the 2006 finals in Miami!

The “ghost foul” on Dirk at the end of regulation looked legit-ish as I saw it from my SRO area! God, that was a great time that makes me happy to think about :)

Anywho….I’m not ripping on Wade, just disputing that FTA’s in a serious is worthy of a “king” nickname. Personally, I always felt Gasol was better with Memphis than Bosh was with the Raptors….Gasol seemed like an underutilized talent in the worst market in the NBA…Bosh was built around (with a much stronger supporting cast) and still had little to no success. That’s all I’m saying.

by Julie H on Sep 11, 2010 3:30 AM EDT up reply actions

I’ve been hoping for Bosh the last two or three years, because the guy will make a great #2 option (and an even better #3 option) when he has some actual talent by his side and isn’t playing out of position because the 7-footer on the team likes to hang out on the 3-point line all the time.

Bosh’s stats are the same as Gasol’s at the same point in their careers. Imagine if Gasol was only the third best player on the Lakers, and you’ll have an idea why this will work so well.

Get the stick out of your ass. The “3 Kings” thing is a play on LeBron’s nickname.

ESPN and Nike and the cultists in Cleveland built LeBron up to be the ego he is today. Only now they all have a problem with it. Hypocrites.

People have to get over the fact that here in Miami, we get excited when we land good players for our teams and will throw a party for just about any occasion. If that makes us bad fans, who cares, it’s a lot more fun than always being miserable and angry about our sports.

Great player, but off court....

Lebron is getting downright unbearable. Everytime this guy speaks all I hear is “generic self-serving bullshit” over and over. Just shut the f*ck up and play

I was last year, but only because of Shaq

I was a casual fan of LeBron’s before last season, but strangely enough, my opinion of him began to dip quickly fairly early on in the season. Can’t take away from what he does on court, though….

Just saw the latest from LeEgo

Seems he announced he’s changed his signature…

Thrilling!
