Your Miami Heat

2010 Miami Heat Roster

Star-divide

And now, stand up, and make some noise, for your Miami Heat!

C Joel Anthony
F Chris Bosh
F LeBron James
G Dwyane Wade
G Mario Chalmers

Second team..

C Zydrunas Ilgauskas
F Udonis Haslem
F Mike Miller
G James Jones
G Carlos Arroyo

Last 2 spots..

G Eddie House
C Jamaal Magloire / F Juwan Howard

The 3 inactive spots..

C Jamaal Magloire / F Juwan Howard
C Dexter Pittman
? Summer League Player*

What do you guys think?

My opinion, the team is deep. Good enough to challenge ANY team.

*Summer league player
I fully expect the 15th and final roster spot to be a summer league guy. It makes no sense to give the position to any other veteran who will be inactive all year. Also, im not to sure that anybody else who is available would be able to contribute to this team anyways. I believe we are set. The last spot should go to one of the deserving summer league guys like hasbrouck or other player, who would gain experience with the team and if needed due to injury, contribute.

The roster is set. Any of yous who think otherwise, to bad so sad ;)
And please, GTFO steve francis, penny hardaway, and allen iverson. >:O

good job

but I would like to see Miller start. Whats the point of having him with us if he’s not in the game with the trio to open up the floor and hit some threes. I could see Arroyo and Chalmers playing together off the bench.

LETS GO HEAT!!!!!!!
Joel Anthony is the man

wellll

unfortunately he plays the same positon as a player whos even better than he is. There is no way wade, james, miller, bosh could start. Especially not against the lakers. Lebron guarding bynum?? What?

by cd100us on Aug 1, 2010 9:47 PM EDT up reply actions

What are you talking about?

Wade guards Fisher. Lebron guards Kobe. Miller guards Artest. Bosh guards Gasol. Whoever plays center guards Bynum.

It could work this way...

Wade-PG
Miller-SG
James-SF
Bosh-PF
Anthony-C

Mike Miller will be sixth man

he is more valuable that way. The first team can hold their own without Miller. Miller provides scoring, playmaking, defense, rebounding, versatility that is much more needed on second team. He will play with Lebron and Wade too

I don't think we are going to have 1st and 2nd teams because I think we should try to have Wade or Lebron on the court at all times

If miller doesn’t start he will play starters min. For the most part, Lebron and Wade are not going to be resting together, so if they each play 36 min per game, there is 24 min for Miller. Then add whatever time Miller plays at the same time as Wade and Lebron. It should be just over 30 min.

House leapfrogs arroyo on the depth chart IMO

House is the perfect bench point guard for this team.

I don't really think he will get too many min

Miller is the backup at the 2 and the 3. It looks like Arroyo is the backup at the 1. So, I don’t see where the min are going to come from. I do hope he gets playing time though.

house is a point guard

arroyo can’t shoot… house is one of the best streaky shooters in the nba… arroyo will barely see the court.

there will always be minutes for a shooter

he is the perfect point guard because he plays off the ball… just bring the ball up the court and give it to wade or bron.
much better fit than arroyo and can also play as Wade’s backup at the two guard (against teams without an elite sg)

Arroyo # 2 PG easy...

Arroyo was one of the most efficient PG’s in the whole league last season(4.17 Ast/TO ratio). Second in the league only to Chris Paul! He will be primary backup to Chalmers.

Arroyo

Don’t be suprised if he starts if Chalmers struggles early…

i think ur looking at house wrong. I believe they didnt bring him here to run the point, hes a scorer. We only have 4 guards on the roster so expect him to get more minutes than james jones. I know i listed jones as a guard but really hes a Small forward. Our team is pretty big imo. 10 players are 6ft 8inches or taller
I just feel wierd listing the 6ft 1inch house as a SG lol

by cd100us on Aug 1, 2010 9:53 PM EDT reply actions

True, but...

Miller will backup the 2 and the 3 because there is no sense in only letting him play 20 mpg. House will get more min than James Jones, but it will not be very many mpg, because it looks like hes the 3rd pg.

by #1Heatfan on Aug 2, 2010 10:04 AM EDT up reply actions

yeah House is not a good enough ball handler to run point

he will primarily be in with Lebron, Miller, and Wade or with another point guard. He will be in with someone who can take over ball handling and he will be a shooter and scorer
