In the end, he went where he thought he had the best chance to win. LeBron James told millions upon millions of viewers that he chose to come down to South Beach and play with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The end result has created a situation that we haven't seen in professional sports.
Three of the leagues best players all choosing to take less money in order to team up and try to create a dynasty. It's pretty amazing. LeBron said the same thing that Wade and Bosh said, that they'd all be willing to sacrifice their max deals and do what it takes to build a championship team in Miami.
Will anybody ever doubt Pat Riley again? He has been planning for this for a while now, and tonight his ultimate dream became a reality. He landed the three most coveted free agents that were out there, taking LeBron from his home and bringing him down to Miami. But did James think this was ever going to be possible? Said LeBron:
"I can't say it was always in my plans, because I never thought it was possible. But the things that the Miami Heat franchise have done, to free up cap space and be able to put themselves in a position this summer to have all three of us, it was hard to turn down. Those are two great players, two of the greatest players that we have in this game today."
While this situation is great for Miami, I really feel for the people of Cleveland. I honestly thought right up until the announcement that he was going to stay there. I still can't believe he went on National TV just to say he was leaving. I think it's a very douchey move, but hey...now he's our douche.
James was asked about Mario Chalmers giving up his #6, the number that LeBron said he is going to change to. Already there are rumors that it's a done deal and that Rio is going to wear #15.
Dwyane Wade watched the news from the AAA while Chris Bosh tweeted out "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!," from (I think) the W hotel in South Beach, where he and LeBron have reserved a lot of rooms for a weekend long party. Wade sent out his own message on Twitter about an hour later, saying: "MIAMI. Welcome my brothers @KingJames and @chrisbosh to YOUR city.".
Next up, its time to focus on what the Heat are going to do to fill up the rest of the roster. For now, let's enjoy this and celebrate!

I think he is exactly the sort of PG the big 3 would need. Good defensively, decent outside shot and minimal turnovers. He doesn’t need to “run” the offense – we have Wade and Lebron to help out.
How will teams defend us?
Wade + Lebron + Bosh won’t face a consistent double team anytime soon…

Word on the street is a “four-team scenario” involving the Heat, Raptors, Bobcats and Rockets was in the works that would enable Miami to clear Michael Beasley’s contract off their books to make room possibly for LeBron James in addition to Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
The basics of the trade are as follows:
-Charlotte would receive Beasley and Rockets forward Jared Jeffries
-Houston would land Bobcats’ center Tyson Chandler
-Miami would create sufficient cap space to offer max-deals to Wade, Bosh and James.
-For the Raptors they give CB4 his sign and trade to the heat and take back draft picks.(Pat Beverley,Dozier and whom ever else they can acquire from the other two teams involved)
Heat offered Mike Miller 5 years 30 mil(6 mil each season)
He better take it. It is the best scenario for Mike Miller to win a title(s)
