Miami Heat could end up with Michael Beasley as it's best player.
As most already know. Wade has yet to state that he will be a member of the Miami Heat, come next season. And that has to be the scariest the most scariest aspect of this free agent period for the Miami Heat organization.
As stated by numerous outlets and Dwyane Wade himself. He's had two meeting in a little less than 48 hours with his hometown team; the Chicago Bulls. The second meeting featured him bringing in his agent. Yet the two sides that no contract had been afforded...and Zebra's reportedly have spots now.
The Miami Heat didn't even want Wade going anywhere near the Bulls organization, let alone granting them two interviews. Pat Riley understands the pieces that are in place with Rose, Noah, Deng, Gibson, and Johnson. The Chicago Bulls has a starting line-up that is very good without Wade.
All the Miami Heat has currently to offer is two players entering their third seasons and two or three second round prospects. Of those possible four or five players. One will be dealing with the fact that the Heat organization has done everything in it's power to allow him to be viewed as a failure.
Who is this player, Michael Beasley...possible, soon to be franchise player. Can you say irony? Can you say Karma?
Yes. This is the prospect should Dwyane Wade elect to leave Miami and it's additional $30 million on the table. The team would be forced to build around the player the media has lead folks to believe they have shopped the most.
I'm sure Heat fans don't want to even think of that. Losing Wade and then have the team be turned over to Beasley, will lead to a all out war in downtown Miami. Los Angeles Raiders style!!!
So just how far would the Heat fall with a team being lead by Beasley? Well it won't be as bad as you think. In games that Wade has missed and Beasley has played, the Heat have four wins and five loses. Of the five loses, four were against playoff teams.
What's more interesting is the fact that Beasley was able to lead the Heat in seven of the nine games. He scored 21 points versus in a lost to the Celtics(112 to 108, OT game). He scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds(in 24 minutes of play) in a lost to the Hawks(81-79 was the final score.)
So as you can see. The Heat wouldn't be in position to be vying for NBA Titles. However, they may not be in as bad of a position as a lot other clubs. Especially if they surround him with good pieces.
It'll be interesting to see what happens with Wade over the next few days. Will he return to the Heat or will he bolt for what he believes to be greener pastures?
Heat fans want to know...and so does Miami Beasley.

Great write up
nightmare scenario…
still will be a Heat fan if Wade leaves.
If we are left to build a team around Beasley…. hopefully he can prove all the doubters wrong and live up 2 his potential.

If Wade goes out
Miami Beasley goes with him. And COLLEGE BEASLEY will finally come down to Miami. The only way we unleash COLLEGE BEASLEY is if he is used as a #1 option. So the departure of Wade (knock on wood this won’t happen) will bring with it the arrival of college Beasley. If that should happen, the Heat better sign Dorell Wright. And start him (!) This could be a Big Two in the making. Or a Big Three if Chalmers would pan out more. But that’s only wishful thinking (wishful, only if Wade is out).
If Wade and Bosh sign then maybe Beasley is our 3rd or 4th best player – that would speak volumes about the team’s depth more than Beasley’s shortcomings…
