Miami Heat NBA Champions 2011, 2012, 2013...?
From the Archives of MVP Sports Talk, July 9, 2010
On then night of July 8, 2010 at 9:28 PM the hopes and dreams of millions were shattered, one city's economy was smashed so hard it may never rebound, and one man, a hero just minutes before is now one of the biggest villians in all of sports. This of course is LeBron James, who in the dead of night and in similar fashion to the Browns, bolted Cleveland. Mr. James had a different destination though, he was bound for South Beach and the Miami Heat, seemingly betraying his hometown team. "What is so bad about switching teams?" you might ask. Well, it wasn't that he switched teams, it was the way that he did it. In an hour long special on ESPN in Greenwitch, Connecticut LeBron fed his huge ego and acted good guy by having all revenue donated to the Boy's and Girl's Club all while become the most hated man in Cleveland.
While feelings of hatred, denial, and betrayal flow around Cleveland a feeling of rebirth and hope have washed over the city of Miami because this move adds even more star power to what has been an amazing offseason for the new NBA Favorites. They resigned superstar guard and Heat Icon Dwyane Wade, inked allstar foward Chris Bosh, and now the biggest splash of all. They gave King James a brand new throne and most importantly a chance to win Multiple NBA Championships. There is always a small chance that superstars don't mesh, but if their play on the US National Basketball Team is any indication this trio of stars is ready to take the NBA by Storm.
This move is bad news for pretty much the whole of Cleveland, even those that are not Cav's fans because the city's whole economy was based off of the king and his image. It also devalues the Cavaliers franchise by about $200 million and will cause lots of air pollution based off of the number of jerseys that will be burned. Although I do regret that this move demolishes the city's economy, and I think that he could have done in in a more subtle an less egotistical way, I firmly believe that LeBron made the best move for him to win today and into the future.

not in 2011-2012
lockout is the only thing going to keep us from getting rings and hanging banners
You gotta hate to lose more than you want to win
I wouldn't get too cocky...
… Some good young temas out there! Chicago and OKC. But yeah I think it is very possible we win starting this season coming up. I mean let’s be realistic, the heat are the team to beat man.
just win one first
besides we are headed for a lockout in 2011.
Adam Morrison has more rings than Lebron, Bosh, and Wade combined?

not a matter of if these guys can mesh well together
because we’ve already seen that they can. and we also know that the big 3 will deliver. what remains to be unseen is how the rest of the team performs. super stars will get you to the play offs but depth wins championships. i agree the lakers are still the team to beat. kobe’s on the back nine of his career but is still a premier closer and their bigs are still very intimidating.
Bynum is always hurt, and Kobe is not nearly the player he was.

The Heat will be much better than the Celtics of last year.

the lakers
Kobe needed a miracle shot to beat the heat last year. If you don’t remember it was a fade away three at the buzzer with Wade all over him. The lakers might of lost to the celtics if perkins didn’t go down with an injury. Its amazing how short laker fans memories are, didn’t they not like him when he was crying about needing more help and talking about getting rid of bynum.
LETS GO HEAT!!!!!!!
Joel Anthony is the man
Henne please don't be good be Great
I have to disagree
Kobe is still a great player one of the top 3 in the league. It is between Kobe, Wade, and Lebron (in no particular order). But Durant will be crashing that party pretty soon
I third the notion
2009 NY Phin PhansFantasy League Champion
2009 Best Regular Season Record in NYPPL.
2010 The Jim Mandich NewsFlash Award Winner.

I have to agree #1heat fan
Right now Kobe would be #1 because he just won the last to titles. I was talking about bernel saying Kobe is enuff to beat the Heat. The #1 against #2 and #3 players in the league. Kobe is nasty but so are Wade and James. There are four real alpha players, D. Howard being the last and two of them are on the same team. Who has the better record at the end of the season we’ll see
