Heat embarrass themselves in Boston, fall in 0-2 hole.

There may have been two days on the calendar in between Games 1 and 2, but it seemed like the two games were joined due to the play of the Heat and Celtics.  Boston was still scoring at will while completely shutting down Miami, and again it was Dwayne Wade acting as the only Heat player that could do anything relevant on offense. 

To start the game Miami Michael Beasley was in full chuck-mode, throwing up 3 outside J's in the games first 5 minutes.  Meanwhile, the Celtics starter the game on an 11-4 run, a familiar problem for Erik Spo and Co.  D-Wade made a couple FG's to get the Heat going, but again the concern was defensively.  With such a physical battle going on down low, Jamaal Magloire was the first big guy off the bench for Miami. 

I understand having Magloire out there for toughness and low-post presence, but the guy quickly went 0-for-2 with a turnover...stop feeding him the ball!!!  Miami finished by hitting 4 of their last 5 shots of the quarter, including a pair of Mario Chalmers 3-pointers, and the Heat battled back from being down 19-10 to tying the game at 23 after 1.

The 2^nd quarter was awful.  Miami scored 10 points and endured an 8-minute scoreless stretch.  Boston outscored the Heat 21-0 during that run, and took a 16-point halftime lead.  It wasn't much better after that, with the Celtics going on another run, this one 18-0, and the Heat were just playing like doo doo. 

Miami's offense was so 1-dimentional that the TNT announcers were laughing at them.  Pass the ball around the outside...oop, shot clock under 5, better chuck it up.  That pretty much sums up how it went.  I'm sick over how the Heat looked just as bad in this game as they did in the 2^nd half of Game 1.  There really isn't a whole lot more to it...so that where it ends for me. 

GAME NOTES

• Jermaine O'Neal's problems hitting shots is a big hole missing the Heat's offensive game.  He made just 1-of-10 (a dunk), missing everything that wasn't directly at the rim.  J-O is now 4-of-24 in the Playoffs.
• Jermaine had 5 blocks in his 7 1^st quarter minutes, 4 of which came at the expense of Glen Davis. 
• Miami's 10 second quarter points are a franchise low for a playoff game.
• Beasley was ok, but didn't really stand out.  Foul trouble kept him from playing when he was most needed.  He finished with 13 and 7. 
• Boston had 17 more rebounds and 10 more assists then the Heat.    
• After missing all 4 of his 3-point attempts in Game 1, Ray Allen was absolutely on fire last night, hitting 7-of-9 from beyond. 
• Udonis Haslem has just 8 rebounds in the Playoffs (4 in each game).  He was a monster on the glass in March and April, but is being contained by the physical low post Celtics. 
• Mario Chalmers actually played kinda decent, at least on offense.  10 points and 4 assists in just 18 minutes, including 2-of-4 from beyond.

I really don't have much else to say about this one.  Same problems as Game 1, but this time they were embarrassed for most of the game instead of just half of it.  Game 3 coming up from the AAA Friday night at 7.  Pack the house and boo Kevin Garnett the way that the Celtics fans were letting Quentin Richardson have it.
