Raja Bell in Miami next year?

The Miami Heat plan on making a big splash in free agency this summer. They'll need to fill out the roster with low-dollar players if they can land one of the top free agents to join Dwyane Wade. There's the possibility the backcourt could feature two players who went to college in South Florida.

Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel writes the following:

"Don't be surprised to see Warriors swingman Raja Bell as one of the Heat's low-budget additions this offseason, possibly as part of an Florida International University reunion with Carlos Arroyo."

One problem he has already come out and said he wants to stay with the Warriors and the Warriors want him.

Not a good idea

The dude is injury prone and the idea is to add players that can create their offense… Bell is a lesser version of Q. Richardson. And besides… Arroyo want be with the team next year. The Heat are trynna build a dynasty that will last… Pat Beverly and Chalmers are gonna compete for that back-up PG spot.

Beverly is currently playing overseas, but I think the Heat still have his Rights.

I like Bell

He’s a defensive-minded guy who makes open shots. With Wade’s playmaking ability, that could really help us. Our current crop of shooters haven’t held up their end of the bargains consistently.
