Should the Heat rebuild instead of trying to build a contender
I was thinking how the Bulls want Wade so badly. I was also wondering how the Heat could become contenders without Chris Bosh. If the Heat do sign Boozer which is likely, he will have to play center unless the Heat resign Jermaine O'neal and and Beasely will then be sf. I thought of the roster and even with Boozer, I think the Heat would not be able to beat Cleveland, Orlando, or Atlanta. So they would be a top 5 team in the East, but not really big contenders. I thought that instead of trying to build a contender through free agency, why not build through trades and through the draft. I think the Heat could get Joakim Noah, Luol Deng, and get 2010 and 2011 first round picks from Chicago for Wade. Then they could sign Tyrus Thomas and since they need a guard Manu Ginobli
Daquan Cook
Luol Deng
Beasely
Noah
sixth man Manu
They could also fill their bench with two top 20 picks.
Beasely, Chalmers, Deng, and Noah will make up the young core.
Beasely with Wade gone can lead the team and become a star as the main scoring option. With more touches, he could be a 20+ score, 8 rebounds, 1 block guy.
Chalmers could become a 15 and 6 assist guy. He would be like Jameer Nelson.
Hopefully Cook can come out of his shooting slump and be a sharpshooter for the heat.
Denge is a great rebounder, defender, and a solid scorer.
Noah is one of the leagues best defenders and rebounders, and is developing a low post game.
This team could probably make the playoffs and will only get better as the young core improves.

Trade Wade?
Im going to give an emphatic HELL NO (respectively of course)
First of all, we cant trade Wade to Chicago because the trade deadline has passed, and if he wanted to go there he could just sign there in the offseason without them giving up anything.
You cant give up a top 3 player in the league no matter what. I dont care what else you have on your team, giving up Wade would be suicide. The city would go insane with rage. Personally i dont see that young core working. We already know Chalmers is a backup, and i dont see Dequan starting. I honestly see that team as a lottery team.
Go big or go home
Wade
I am sorry but who the heck gives up one of the top 3 players in the NBA for nothing, this team won’t even finish at 500.
This wasn’t a pretty post, sorry dude but this is some crack analysis

You can't trade Wade..
…UNLESS you know you can’t sign him yourself. In that case, you get all you can for him (which a heck of a lot more than Noah, Deng, and a couple of Draft Picks—which oh by the way won’t be that high with Wade and Rose playing together in Chicago). And you want Ginobili to come off the bench behind Mario and Cook?
1. We must keep Wade on the Peninsula—no expections.
2. Next, we look to land Bosh or Boozer.
3. If neither comes, or even if they do, we take a good look at guys like David Lee, Rudy Gay, Ginobili, etc, who might be obtained at a bargain price to fill out the roster. Wade can carry the Heat to the Playoffs with little help—he’s shown that over the last two seasons. You replace the guys we have now with 3-5 guys who can actually play and we’re a Contender. Even the bunch of guys we have now have played Cleveland close each contest and even beaten Orlando 1 out of 3. Again, we’re contenders with just a couple of upgrades. The upgrades will make Wade even more effective, as they will give him a little breathing room to work his midrange game.

um the line up u listed is at best a 5 win team
but i understand where your coming from. if we had another president then maybe we could do something like this but riley is a win NOW coach.
although i do agree with you that boozer+wade does not equal success.

Boozer definitely is an upgrade though
He’s a solid low post scorer and rebounder and the best passing PF in the League. I’d calculate his addition addition alone to be worth at least 10 additional wins. That’s a lot better Playoff position. Add to that maybe Rudy Gay or another solid guy on the perimeter, and we can (with Wade still intact of course) definitely contend. Then there’s the Draft and development of young guys like Chalmers, Cook, Beasley, and Wright.

rudy gay+boozer+wade= success

6th man
He could come in to be the 3 in a big line-up or the 4. He’d be instant offense. Beasley could really anchor the 2nd Unit. He often plays his best basketball when Wade is not on the floor with him.
