Game #59: Milwaukee Bucks (29-28) vs. Miami Heat (29-29)
Miami will look to get back to their winning ways when Milwaukee comes to town for a Saturday afternoon matinee. I'm sure many of you, like me, were looking forward to welcoming back #3 to the Heat lineup. Unfortunately, we're all gonna have to wait a little bit longer to see D-Wade back in uniform. He will miss his 4th straight game after straining his left calf muscle during the Heat's win last week in New Jersey.
Wade practiced for about a half hour on Thursday and then for 45 minutes on Friday. They were the first practice sessions that Dwyane participated in since his injury, some of which he did at full-speed. Still, the Heat's starting shooting guard said he would definitely not be playing on Saturday.
Said Wade:
"The only thing I'm going to do (Saturday) is come in and get some more work in, a great workout in before the game, and continue to see how it feels. Then, Sunday, I'll do the same thing, see how it feels. I'll decide what I can do with my body."
"Tomorrow (Saturday) is out of the question. I'm just not ready yet."
Returning to the lineup will be point guard Rafer Alston, who was also hurt during the Heat's win in New Jersey. He is probably going to start but Erik Spoelstra said he is waiting until Saturday to decide. Rafer said that he plans to attack the rim more, which is something the Heat haven't done much of since Wade went down. Alston has been working with the 1st team during practice on Thursday and Friday, with Daequan Cook taking the starting shooting guard minutes.
GAME NOTES
- Milwaukee comes in winners of 5-striaght games overall, as well as 5-straight on the road.
- This is the third of four meetings between the Heat and Bucks, with Milwaukee winning the first two. If you don't remember, they were back-to-back games (a home-at-home).
- Bucks center Andrew Bogut has at least one block in 22 consecutive games.
- Milwaukee is playing very well despite missing their best player, Michael Redd, who suffered a season-ending ACL tear in early January.
- In the Eastern Conference playoff race the Heat sit in 8th place, a half game behind the 7th place Bucks.
Mid-day tipoff from the AAA will be at 3:30. I'm pretty excited because I will be there; it's just my 3rd or 4th game this year. Hopefully the Heat come out with a little more energy then they did against Minnesota on Tuesday.

Redd was never their best player...
Side note from the article… Redd was never the Bucks best player. He was simply their best offensive option.
I tire of folks calling a guy a teams best player because he puts up the most points.
That’s like saying Dirk is Dallas best “PLAYER”… he isn’t. Kidd is. Nor is Durant… Westbrook is Arenas wasn’t the best player in Washington(Jamison or Butler). Just like Joe Johnson is no longer the best player in Atlanta(Smith). Just like Devin Harris isn’t the best player in New Jersey(Lopez) and so on and so.

Who was their best player then?
Bogut FINALLY turned into something this year and they have jennings, but past years Redd has been their best player, hands down.
Lots of teams have great players who arent the best scorers, but if you say Durant isnt the Thunders best player you are on drugs. I like Westbrook (big UCLA fan), but hes got a way to go.
Durant is top 5 in the NBA right now. You’re crazy.

I know you have some dissenting opinions and I respect that
but Durant and Dirk aren’t their teams most important players? Dude thats a ridiculous and utterly false statement
a washed up kidd and a chucker like westbrook aren’t even the 2nd best players on their team
That was his first TD this yr
It was an amazing game and a washed up J-kidd is still better than our 3 pgs combined but I’d argue Jason Terry is their second best player seeing has how he can completely win (or lose) games like against the Lakers. If Caron can get used to that team, maybe he’s the 2nd best
If you knew anything about basketball KEEBLER
Their best player in…
2008-2009… Richard Jefferson
2007-2008… Mo Williams
2006-2007… Mo Williams or Ruben Patterson, take a pick
2005-2006… Michael Redd
2004-2005… Desmond Mason
2003-2004… Keith Van Horn or Tim Thomas
So as you can see guy that knows nothing about basketball… he has only once been the best “all around player on the team”.
The guy is and has always been a ONE DIMENSIONAL player, he only effectED one end of the court.
As far as Durant being the best player on the Thunder… you are silly. Westbrook is already light years ahead of him in defending, he’s equally effective as a rebounder as far as his position is concerned. His offense is just as if not more effective than Durant. He actually accounts for more points than Durant when you factor in his assist and points per game.
AND YOU WILL NOT BE AT THE HEAT GAME… it was 2:50pm when you last posted. The game starts at 3:30… who you fooling???
Anyway, Im out to enjoy the Marley Festive with my wife at Bay Front park. I hope the Heat gets this wins… AND I PRAY BEASLEY has a breakout game. A 30+ game would really be nice… THE KID DESERVES SOME GOOD LUCK!!!

Who am i fooling?
I live 5 mins from the arena. Im waiting for my 9 month old son to wake up from his afternoon nap so i can take him to the game. I know ill be late but i dont get to take him to games very often due to his age so a few quarters with him is worth it to me.
Just because you have come on to this site recently and bash EVERYTHING that is posted i honestly wont take the time to comment on all the BS you just listed above. Im not saying Redd is the greatest player on earth, but the other players you listed are a joke (minus Mo Williams). Dont try to tell anyone they dont know anything about basketball just because you have a skewed viewpoint.
I am a Heat fan just like everyone else on here, have been a season ticket holder for 22 years. Were on this board to have a good time with each other so relax with your over the top comments or just dont post at all.
Could careless why you're here
Sounds like you have a bit of “slave driving” in your blood… telling some one what to do. Anyway, I refuse to play nice with people of limited intelligence and understanding of basketball… that would be you Keebler(and anyone that agrees with you).
Unlike you, I am not on this board “to have a good time”, I actually have a life away from this forum. I came here because I was intrested in finding a place where I can discuss matters of basketball. Nothing more, nothing less. I’m not here to stroke ego’s and play nice. I’m here to provide others with a view of the game as I see it… one that I hope will enlighten and not detour the truth of what really is. I hate idiotic things and people.
Today the Herald said that Beasley faltered… never noting the two horrendous games that WADE had against the Bucks. What gave anyone a clue that Beasley would fare any less with the way the Bucks play D and how poorly the Heat are coached offensively??? So instead of telling the truth about what was… the Herald chose to come up with a silly headline to and some skewed opinion on what happened. The Heat got beat badly in two games with a top 3 player on it’s roster… this game the same happened with out him. Milwaukee is just a better team with a better coach, point blank.
So until you make sense, I’ll be here to tell it like it SHOULD be told. Don’t like it… don’t read where you see my NAME or AVATAR!!!

We have not beat the bucks with Wade so I doubt we beat them without him.
We lose by 20 I guess.
Another disappointing loss.
Wow was that terrible
The most entertaining thing about that game was the baby race at halftime.
They played well, but i think its more that we played horrible. The first half they seemed to fight, but the second half was just putrid. Only 10 made field goals in the entire 2nd half? I mean come on now. I dont even have words for that lack of spirit.
totally agree on the baby race :o)
