Heat look awful in 2nd straight loss to Milwaukee
Another ‘day after' viewing for me....and I kinda wish I had forgot to set the DVR for that one. Such a promising start and then such a ginormous let down. It appears that after a nice start to their ‘second season', the Heat are back into their completely lost and inconsistent ways. Two straight losses to the Bucks is unacceptable; I don't care who is hurt and/or out of the lineup.
At what point does the coach take responsibility for what is going on out there? A team is a representative of their coach, and this team isn't showing us much. What bothers me the most is how the offense can look absolutely dead at times. Ugly shots, guys without the ball just standing around...its damn frustrating.
Forgive me, but I'm not even going to post my usual recap. Here is what you get: Heat ran out to an 11-0 lead and then were outscored by 29 points the rest of the way. That about sum it up?
GAME NOTES
- The 11-0 start was the Heat's best start to any game this season.
- However, they shot just 3-of-17 in the quarter...the worst shooting quarter of any game this season. That led to an 11-of-40 1st half, their worst shooting half of the season. Funny how that all works out...
- As a team Miami had just 4 assists in the opening half, but did turn the ball over 7 times.
- Udonis had another double double with 12 and 10. Maybe he's coming out of his recent slump.
- Dorell Wright had his first ‘off' game in recent memory, shooting just 1-of-5.
The bottom line is that Miami plays a team with a better bench, they are probably going to lose. D-Wade certainly can't do it all himself, and with him, Beasley and Jermaine O'Neal all nursing injuries...there isn't much else to pick up the slack. With the trade deadline looming in a few weeks, who knows what the Heat will do.
The Amare rumor got my eyebrows raised but I'm not getting my hopes up. We'll just have to wait and see, its just unfortunate that while we are waiting, the thing that we see is the big turd the Heat left at center court in their own building last night.

I wouldn't think twice about it
Amare leaves us = cap space. Amare uses his option = we retain a top tier big man
and yes I take into account that he’s a piss poor defender and uninterested rebounder. This would still be an amazing trade
The Heat are gonna be alright and Amare isn't the answer!!!
Dol… I don’t know why you pegged the Bucks as easy wins, the Heat are a effort team that doesn’t have much TALENT outside Wade, Beasley, O’Neal, Cook and Wright. Everyone else are skilled players.
Anyway, the Bucks lost was disappointing to me but that club does have wins against Denver, Portland, Memphis, Charlotte, Toronto and Chicago… lets keep this in perspective.
The Heat aren’t a deep club, especially where SCORING is concerned.
I noticed that the Heat isn’t using Richardson to the best of his ability… the guy is a low post bully against anyone under 6’8.
As far as Amare is concerned… he’ll be better(now) as far as scoring concerned but he’ll hurt the club defensively more than he’ll help offensively. It’s debatable that Amare is better than Beasley offensively(my money is and always will be with Beasley)… Beasley is already showing signs that he’ll be a better defender.
The Heat are fine as is… to many of you believe them to be this team that should be winning a ton of games… they don’t have that kind of roster and should be praised for what they have done, especially when one looks at the teams they have beaten.
If they had a better coach(not player developer behind the bench) this team might have pulled out 7 or 8 of those loses that they lost due to bad game management late in games.

very good points Glauc
definitely agree on much of what you said. —I think the Bucks games were ‘should win’ games. Obviously not easy, lol. Hopefully they shock us all tonight and maybe tomorrow :o)
