Heat take down Atlanta to win fourth straight
Any concern for a Heat letdown after their emotional win in Cleveland on Thursday was quickly put to bed. They jumped out to a 17-point lead early on and the Big 3 carried Miami to their fourth straight win. They combined to score 75 of the Heat's 89 points, and if not for a late triple by Mike Bibby then they would have outscored the Hawks on their own.
Atlanta made a game of it after a strong 3rd quarter, getting the Heat lead all the way down to 2 with less then 5 minutes left. The Hawks then missed their next 6 shots and Miami went on an 11-0 run to seal the game. Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade each came away with a double double, grabbing 10 rebounds apiece.
It wasn't that long ago when the Heat had lost 4 of their last 5 games and people were starting to panic. For now, those feelings are in the rearview mirror with the Heat winning four straight and showing that they can win games in different ways. Tonight it was almost all Wade, James and Bosh while others they have gotten major contributions from the bench, or drilled a bunch of trey's.
Regardless of how they do it, as long as they keep winning games then all will be well. Miami now hits the road, playing their next 4 games away from home. Monday night they play the Milwaukee Bucks before heading out west to face Utah, Golden State and Sacramento.
GAME NOTES
- This was just the 2nd win for the Heat against teams with winning records (on the day of game)
- Al Horford was money for the Hawks, hitting 10-of-11 from the field and coming one rebound shy of a double double.
- Carlos Arroyo is shooting just 9-of-29 (31%) in his last 5 games.
- The Heat blocked 9 shots tonight. D-Wade had 3 and Joel Anthony had 2.
- Wade's stat line was pretty full. 26 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and the 3 blocks.
- LeBron James now has a steal in 18-straight games.
- Still too many jumpshots, not enough driving the ball.
The Heat gets back at it on Monday night in Milwaukee. I am not going to be able to get online until next weekend so Keebler and tedhill will be running things. Have a great week everyone. Go Heat!

Was not able to watch the game.
Going by the score by periods, it looks like the Heat dominated a team with a decent record for the most part. Heat have to hit the road next and I Hope they continue to play with urgency no matter what record the team has with the Bucks coming up with a losing record. Keep both the playing with a lot of energy/winning streak going, lets go Heat! Beat the Bucks!

You know, like - You do a thing and that's what you are...One guy lives in Brooklyn. One guy lives in Sutton Place. You got a lawyer. Another guy's a doctor. Another guy dies. Another guy gets well. People are born, y'know? I envy you, your youth. Go on, get laid, get drunk. Do anything. You got no choice, anyway. I mean, we're all f*****. More or less, ya know."

Up and down then up game.
Liked defense, especially Joel’s. However, he still got his brick-like hand when he touches the ball on offensive end.
Something to prove II
I like the idea we didn't let the bad 3rd hurt us too much.
We played well late in the 4th scoring like 11 unanswered points.

Hmm
Ok win for the heat.
Big game vs the bucks tomorrow.
Has anybody noticed Chalmers is getting more playing time cause he is playing well as of late?
Start Chalmers, obviously Arroyo wants to come off of the bench.
Z has not scored again!
Start Dampier he is the post presence we need and is effective with limited minutes.
Off the bench Split minutes with Magloire and Joel.
Z needs to be put in the dog house until he gets it together.
Let’s go heat!
Miami Thrice is incredible....Heat Tri-nasty is inevitable!
Dampier and Rio doing well
But the refs were a huge factor every time the Hawks cut the lead to two. For perspective, both Horford and lbj took 11 shots, but lbj got 9 more fts (13 attempts). The entire Hawks team had 12 ftas.
Good win, but the Hawks were missing their leading scorer and passer, and were on the 2nd game of a B2B.
So the only two Heat wins over .500+ teams on the date played were at home with the opponent on the road B2B.
Long way to go, but there’s a lot more work to be done.

Agreed
But even with Joe Johnson the hawks are not a threat.
Look Wade owned the hawks by himself last season, I think the hawks won 1 game vs the heat last year.
The hawks are the same team and still have holes at backup point, backup small forward and backup powerforward.
They are not better than the celtics, heat, magic, bulls or bucks.
Even the bobcats can give the hawks a run for there money.

Of the teams you mention, right now only the Celtics are "a threat" - to win a title
It will be interesting to see what the heat do with Miller and haslem. Also, it’s been nice to see Bosh actually working on the defensive end – it could be a difference-maker com May.
