It's official: Miami Heat sign Jerry Stackhouse
The Miami Heat has announced that they signed veteran Jerry Stackhouse, essentially to take the place of injured swingman Mike Miller. As always, terms of the deal weren't disclosed but I'm sure at some point today we'll get the details. The Heat can only offer him the $1.4 million veteran's minimum, but the question now is how much of that will be guaranteed, as well as whether or not they'd want to sign Stackhouse to more then a 1-year deal.

That was fast
He’ll be a consistent scorer and 3rd or 4th option on offense.

Stackhouse
ready to do the opposite of 2006?
Individuals don't win Championships, Teams do.

Jerry Stackhouse is solid.
Ahh if only UNC had tried to recruit Joe Smith and combined him with McInnis Stackhouse and R. Wallace,
Solid pick up,. Especially given his likely responsibility, GET BUCKETS.
Get buckets is what Stackhouse can do.

Solid Pickup
Solid pickup by the Heat. While Stack can’t exactly duplicate what we’ll miss in Miller, he still can be an effective option off the bench. He seems to have gotten better of the last few seasons with his 3 point shot, he’ll get tons of opportunities on this team. More than anything, his veteran experience will go far with this squad.
Liked him better than the other options available.
What would happen
to Stackhouse when Miller comes back? Will he be the #3 shooting guard?
Melkman smells.
Doesn't this mean we now have to cut two more players?
If so, say goodby to Beverley and most likely Magloire
Damn it
Hate to see Magloire and Beverley go. Other than that this is a great pick up!
LETS GO HEAT!!!!!!!
Joel Anthony is the man
Henne please don't be good be Great
Career on threes: .307
last season with the Bucks, .346.
And his defense is what you’d expect from an experienced veteran who will be 36 in 2 weeks…
