Heat to resume negotaitions with Jamaal Tinsley

Tinsley-sits1_medium

Accoring to Tinsley's agent Raymond Brothers, he has spoken to Pat Riley and is set to resume negotiations with him sometime in the near future.  Brothers feels his client could soon land in Miami

"I talked to Pat when he was out there (his off-season home in California). There's still interest on both sides,'' Brothers said. ``We'll see what happens. But we'll talk again.''

Pat Riley, however, said through a team spokesman on Thursday that no formal meeting had been planned...so we'll see how this pans out.  Remember, the two sides canceled a meeting after free-agent Lamar Odom elected to stay with Los Angeles.

The Heat has depth at PG with Mario Chalmers, Chris Quinn and Patrick Beverly, but with only 4 years combined between the 3 players, a veteran presence would definitely be helpful.

I'm with you.

After all the Odom buzz, we trade for “Q” and it seems so exciting! Can you tell we need some more news when I get all amped up over dumping Mark Blount? lol.

I too was stoked after the blount trade

simply because something happened. If we can, as much as it pains me, get rid of quinn and sign tinsley we have a solid and deep team right there

but definitely better than last year.

We can have up to a 15 man roster

even though Riley said he would like to go with 13, I doubt he would let Beverly walk after spending a future pick and $1.5 million to get him.

quit hatin

He’ll be a backup at the vet minimum. He’s put up good numbers when healthy. He has a bad past but when he comes so cheap I could give 2 shits less
