NBA luxury tax going down for 2010
Teams being more limited in their funds increses the likelyhood that guys like D-Wade and LeBron James will remain w/ thier current teams.
You would have to say that this makes the chances of Wade leaving even less likely, as now that $30 million more he will make just for staying in the state of Florida seems larger when put next to a smaller contract.

This is good news for us
Just hoping the decreasing cap doesnt hurt our chances to sign 2 max contracts in 2010.
It won't
we’re only going to have like $10-12 mil, so thats another $40 or so mil to spend. If we get Wade to a max deal we will still have around $20 mil to spend on another max deal while leaving us with a little bit to fill in the cracks.

if we resign wade to a max deal and another max deal will that leave us having to fill all other positions with like dleaguers?

we'll be able to go over the cap, its a soft cap
that is how teams like Boston and L.A. are able to fill their rosters. If we tie up our $50 mil in 7 guys, we’ll still be able to sign guys to the ‘exemption’ contracts you hear about. Those are the reasons for the exemption. Look at Rasheed Wallace, he could’ve gotten a lot more to sign elsewhere…you think Boston has money to spend? lol.
