Mike James can still be effective in short stints, but honestly, we have enough guys who can only play PG: Chalmers, Arroyo, and Quinn. The way he could help is off the court with our developing stud, Michael Beasley. Apparently, during his rehab stint over the summer, Beasley lived with Mike James, and James provided a positive influence. Beasley, who has kept his nose clean since his over-the-summer antics, could use a mentor because D-Wade doesn’t seem to have taken Beasley under his wing. That will be the next phase of Wade’s development: playing the role of mentor/big brother to the younger guys on his team.
