Pat Riley Joins Ministry of Truth

From the Sun-Sentinel:

Heat president Pat Riley said the team remains interested in ex-Clippers point guard Shaun Livingston but that his signing is a "dead issue" at this point because the Heat's roster is full.

Riley went on to say:

"War is Peace."

Asked to elaborate, Riley offered this:

"Freedom is Slavery."

And concluded thusly:

"Ignorance is Strength."

Not covered in Riley's comments about signing Shaun Livingston: whether he will sign Shaun Livingston or not.

Well played...

You know, I was supposed to read ‘1984’ in High School… but I never did. Tried to fake my way through the book report. It didn’t work. That’s all I wanted to say.

In this world, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. - Elwood P. Dowd
