Heat 96, Spurs 93: Wade Sits Down, Super Mario Powers Up

Rookie guard Mario Chalmers reprised his NCAA Tournament heroics with a game-winning buzzer-beating 3-pointer as Miami wrapped up a 2-5 preseason with a win over the Spurs. Time now for some real ball, starting Wednesday at NYC.

On the Wounded Knee front, Dwyane Wade sat out because he felt "a little weak in the knee," according to coach Erik Spoelstra. Sounds benign enough, but it scares the hell out of me. He probably could have chilled a little more this preseason. Shaun Livingston and Dorell Wright each came off the bench for the second straight night as they try to return from their own knee injuries.

Spoelstra still apparently has no idea about a rotation, but it looks likely that the starting five will be Udonis Haslem, Michael Beasley and Shawn Marion across the front with Wade and Chris Quinn at the guards.
